Boise Pride, Inc. is the official organization that produces the annual gay pride festival as well as other select events in the community!

Boise Pride, Inc. is a member based and managed non-proffit 501(c)3 corporation.

Boise Pride, Inc was formed to produce events for the local community that will bring the community together in the acceptance and equality for lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT) people in Idaho. The origins of pride in Idaho date back to 1990, when the first decision was made to create awareness of the GLBT community. Since that first event, Idaho people have celebrated pride in many different ways.  Boise Pride, Inc, being the most recent achievement in the history of pride in Boise, by the formation of our non-profit organization to solely focus on the pride festival and events throughout the year.  We are the premier provider for all pride related events in the greater Boise area, providing an opportunity for the entire Idaho community to learn more about the LGBT community.

The goals of our organization are:

  • Produce events for the community with no political agenda.
  • Provide venues for people to accept themselves and support each other.
  • Provide venues creating and strengthening community ties.
  • Act as a unifying force within the community.
  • Increase the visibility and community impact of the pride event.
  • Increase community participation in Boise Pride activities.
  • Become a financially self-sufficient, solvent and secure organization.
  • Grow Boise Pride and the festival by investing in continuing ventures and improvements.
  • Run a not-for-profit organization, committed to the community, its volunteers and staff.
  • Create a safe space to engage communities in the celebration of their sexuality.
  • Coordinate the annual Pride celebration that empowers and supports our communities.
  • Connect with and help develop our communities, fostering essential partnerships.
  • Capture and build upon our organization's and our communities' history.
  • To unite, through membership in the organization, persons interested in our purposes, and to promote good fellowship among such members.

  • Boise Pride, Inc. committees and board of directors are made of volunteers like you.  As a non-profit organization we have chosen to conduct all the business of the corporation and staff our committees, which plan and run our events, with uncompensated volunteers.  This fosters a group of dedicated people and companies committed to providing the community with events that are not driven by a paycheck but the satisfaction that they have had a hand in making a stronger and better community environment for all to enjoy.

Although Boise Pride, Inc. is a new corporation we have grown by leaps and bounds since our inception and have been pleased with the feedback from the community and corporations that have been involved.  Help keep up the momentum and have your voice heard.  Become a member, volunteer, and/or email us your input.  It takes people like you to make a better organization for all.
